They discuss Greek and American family values and how Percy challenges the traditions of the Greek gods.     • Ethics: “The gods are ‘all-powerful’ but they have to play by the rules & they create demigods so we can break the rules for them. But if we can break the rules & they can’t, shouldn’t they be just as afraid of us as we are of them?” 

    • Priorities = survival, passion

    • Worldview = warrior, survival
